Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2021 emerging design studio of the year, Faina is a collection of live objects by Yakusha rooted in rich Ukrainian cultural heritage.

With a mission to pass the story, they link a sustainable approach to modern living with ancient crafts and traditions.

Following Faina's philosophy of live design, furniture, decor, and lighting are released only two times per year — during Winter and Summer solstice, days of natural renewal. Handcrafted in collaboration with local artisans, objects show the richness of live materials — clay, wood, willow vine or "ztista" — sustainable blend developed by Faina.

A design expedition is Faina's unique project to protect endangered crafts.

This studio has been shortlisted in the emerging design studio of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
