Hunter lounge chair by Torbjørn Afdal for Eikund

Dezeen Showroom: Eikund has re-released a classic of Norwegian design, Torbjørn Afdal's Hunter lounge chair, which features a leather seat pulled taut by buckles.

Designed in 1960, the Hunter chair represented Afdal's take on a popular style of seating at the time known as the "hunting chair", made of solid wood and saddle leather.

Eikund has relaunched and updated Torbjørn Afdal's 1960 design for the Hunter chair

Afdal's version of the chair has a minimalistic aesthetic and is designed to have a fluid and organic form.

Eikund has subtly updated the Hunter chair for its relaunch so it stays true to the design while incorporating the latest innovations in materials and processes, giving it additional durability and timelessness.
