ATBO has produced a contemporary tribute to classic Danish design in a blend of vision and craftsmanship.

Created by Kevin Hviid for ATBO, the Cocoon Dining Chair combines values of sustainability and style.

The design of the natural material chair in a rounded and circular form is produced in an efficient and long-lasting manner as part of a design family that blurs the boundary between furniture and architecture. It is inspired by the organic modernism of the 1960s, where soft and sculptural shapes melt together.

Made from wood, the chair comes in both oak and black-stained beech and can be upholstered with any type of material.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
