Najd fabrics used as furniture upholstery in an earth-toned living room

Najd textile collection by Tristan Auer for Lelièvre Paris

Dezeen Showroom: Najd is a textile collection created by architect and designer Tristan Auer for Lelièvre Paris, which is informed by Saudi Arabian design.

The textile collection's natural and earthy colour palette references the Najd desert, which is where it gets its namesake.

"In creating the designs for Najd, Tristan Auer sought inspiration in the colours and lines of the traditional architecture found in this area at the heart of Saudi Arabia," said Lelièvre Paris.

"A vast expanse of desert land, unique for its prominence of natural earth and clay colours," the brand continued. "The striking juxtaposition of orthogonal structures and the random flowing lines of the desert with its endless dunes."
