Lamington Group has designed Room2 Chiswick Hometel in London, United Kingdom.

This project opened its doors to the public in December 2021, as the first whole-life, net-zero hotel in the world – designed to be 89% more energy efficient than the typical UK hotel.

The interior design concept distils the essence of the arts and crafts movement, by stepping away from plastic veneers and the highly-polished terrazzo dreamscapes of the hotel industry, in favour of natural materials, reclaimed timbers and handmade touches crafted by local artisans.

"The eclectic feel of the Hometel aims to create a cosy and inviting environment for our guests," added Lamington Group.

This project has been longlisted in the hotel and short-stay interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
