Rationale International-Masanori Design Studio has created a forward-thinking workspace for a city law firm in China.

The project is located in an office building in the future centre of the city, with large floor glass areas looking out over the park and the river beyond. It is the new site for a law firm of young partners.

The design is based around triangle, symmetry and array to embody elements representative of the essence of legal justice.

It combines the intertwined development of the old and the new, both in the practice of law and in the natural setting of the project's location. The project imitates the floating island outside the window, to construct a floating island inside – it is a new age legal space that breaks with tradition, whereby culture and personality are created.

This project has been longlisted in the small workspace interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
