Spacon & X has created the design of Swiss bicycle brand Siech's first flagship store, taking inspiration from the bike itself

The project is located in Zürich, and sees the design provide a community which includes a bike shop with a workshop and hangout space.

The interior combines a mix of hard and soft components as expression of functionality and materiality. Similar to a bike frame, soft interior materials like Søuld's eelgrass mats are held together by a metal grid system, while acoustic mats are applied to the ceilings throughout to reduce noise and make the busy space more serene, lending a soft, natural aesthetic that contrasts with the concrete, untreated aluminium, stainless steel and pine

This project has been longlisted in the small retail interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
