Yatofu Creatives Oy has designed Teemaa Teahouse in Helsinki, Finland.

This project, situated in downtown Helsinki, was founded with the intention of promoting Asian tea culture in the Nordics, offering a curated selection of teas from handpicked farmers and producers.

Paying homage to the art of tea-making, Teemaa Teahouse's interior utilises a palette of materials extracted from those used in the process of tea-making itself – with the overall design language emphasising the tea’s journey from raw material to the refined and sophisticated product at the end.

Teemaa's interior pays careful attention to the facilitation of storytelling and offers a warm interpretation of contemporary tea culture for the Nordic lifestyle.

This project has been longlisted in the restaurant and bar interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
