Maja has created a table that captures a moment in balance, juxtaposing weight with weightlessness.

The design sees a piece crafted in solid wood, with two contrasting profiles cut at opposing grains to highlight the encounter of objects.

While the base is soft in its curvature, the top is linear. The distinct profiles reveal unique patterns in the wood's grain, unearthing the natural character of the material. Produced by master craftsmen in Bangladesh, the materiality and composition ensure that each piece is unique in its character and charm.

This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
