Donald Wentworth has created a family of desk accessories for Andhand with innovative use of materials.

Extrude is a design born of the possibilities and limitations of the process of aluminium extrusion.

The desk accessories include a retractable pen, tape dispenser and ruler, and have been created to have as few interventions as possible in the process. Each unique piece has features born from an approach sensitive to the production technique, such as the form of the tape dispenser where the hoop profile of the extrusion has simply been sliced like a loaf of bread, before a machined spool and a cutting blade has been added.

The result is a range of products that are minimal, refined, durable and a joy to use.

This project has been longlisted in the workplace design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
