Spread is a creative unit founded by Haruna Yamada and Hirokazu Kobayashi.

Their work combines the thinking of landscape design, which requires consideration of the environment over a long-time frame, with the vivid visual techniques of graphic design to produce works that broaden individual sensibilities.

Using colour to dismantle and reconstruct memories, they expand our imaginations and ask questions about the future.

Their project Life Stripe visualises 24 hours of action and uses bands of colour to find beautiful patterns in our everyday existence.

They continue to provide art, spaces, products, and other works that use colour to move hearts.

This project has been longlisted in the design studio of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
