Woods + Dangaran has created a meticulous renovation and restoration of a mid-century modern home in Los Angeles.

The project is a property once owned by Bing Crosby's manager, and works to strengthen the connections between the house and its hillside site above the San Fernando Valley.

Taking cues from Brazilian modernism, much of the interior design concept was inspired by the rich teak walls, creating a warm, inviting backdrop for the client’s cosmopolitan, social lifestyle, and his collection of objets d'art from various travels.

A mixture of restored vintage, new production, and custom pieces, create an environment that is distinctly modern yet timeless, with nods to the past without being pastiche.

This project has been shortlisted in the house interior category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
