Olssøn Barbieri has designed Château Picoron in Oslo, Norway.

This project is a brand identity and packaging design for an Australian-owned Chateau in Bordeaux, exploring the region's restrictive winemaking regulations and constraints – many imposed by law – to preserve the appellation.

"Finding opportunity and poetry within restriction, we saw these constraints as an exercise in creativity; finding freedom within the need to adapt and, similarly to the winemakers themselves, crafting something unique in the process," added designer Olssøn Barbieri.

The platform allows initiating conversations concerning climatic change, the future of Bordeaux and, on a greater scale, the fate of wine for years to come.

This project has been shortlisted in the graphic design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
