Only If has designed Narrow House in New York City, United States.

Narrow House is a self-initiated project by Only If for a ground-up, single-family house located on an atypical New York City lot in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighbourhood of Brooklyn.

The experimental project is intended to demonstrate the potential of vacant, narrow, and/or irregular urban infill sites.

The main issue discovered in the design of the Narrow House was not shape or expression, but rather daylight and circulation. To maximise daylight on the inside, the building showcases a glass curtain wall adjacent juxtaposed against the black stucco.

This project has been longlisted in the urban house category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
