Número 26 Estudio built Casa MYM in Murcia, Spain.

Located within an orchard in south-eastern Spain, the MYM house is a single-storey dwelling inspired by the Costumbrista style.

Divided into three separate square structures, the interior spaces are generously sized to facilitate family gatherings. The property is complemented by a swimming pool, orchard and views of the nearby mountains.

The design prioritises natural, energy-efficient materials such as wood and ceramic. Thermoclay load-bearing walls, concrete and clay floors, and enamelled ceramic tile cladding add character, as well as help to moderate the region's temperature variations and high humidity.

This project has been longlisted in the rural house category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
