CCA | Centro de Colaboración Arquitectónica have designed and developed the Community Development Center (CDC) in Tabasco, Mexico.

The CDC is a transformative project in Jalpa, Tabasco, that represents a beacon of community engagement and inclusive development.

The design incorporates monumental concrete arches with half-circle perforations, creating sculptural sequences that impart an iconic character to the ensemble.

The CDC's design philosophy intertwines with the urban fabric generating a sense of place that resonates with the community.

"The architectural program of the project was envisioned to weave through the concrete arches and features a central garden that provides an oasis-like ambience," said CCA. "The CDC embodies a vision of community development and cultural growth in Jalpa."

This project has been longlisted in the civic project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
