Studio iF has extended the Light House in Eastern Singapore.

Light House is a single-storey extension of a three-storey 1970s townhouse in Singapore.

The skylight atrium is the soul of the main house, and it is echoed in the new extension into the rear garden by a slit of glass demarcating where the new addition meets the old house.

In the picturesque garden dining room occupying the extension, the dining table is placed right beneath the glass slit, bathing it in beautiful indirect light throughout the day.

The house is designed in a series of framed views connecting the lower entry foyer to the living room, and eventually to the dining room.

This project has been longlisted in the home interior category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
