Retrouvius has upgraded a North London family home in London, United Kingdom.

This project was the upgrade of a home for a multicultural family in North London who like to travel.

"Colours, countries and food inspired broad references from around the globe," said Retrouvius.

Untouched for years, the whole building required an upgrade making it suitable for how this family of five wanted to live – while applying a philosophy of reuse.

The use of natural materials was applied throughout: from reusing existing materials onsite, sourcing salvaged materials and reusing them in a contemporary manner to designing with future reuse in mind.

"The reuse approach is systematic, delivering a design that is tactile, chic and loved by the family," added Retrouvius.

This project has been longlisted in the home interior category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
