Odami has developed the Aesop Palisades Village in Los Angeles, United States.

Aesop Palisades Village takes inspiration from its natural surroundings, as well as the area's vernacular architecture – where local buildings are perched within a cascading landscape of lush ridges and valleys.

Gently placed amongst an unfolding backdrop of micro cement and velvet, the storage and display requirements are resolved as horizontal planes composed of reclaimed wood and stainless steel to create an interplay of levity and mass.

Blending inside and outside, a skylight was introduced to bring natural light to a new interior garden – the focal point of the store – where a bench and consultation sink sit amongst the foliage.

This project has been longlisted in the retail interior (small) category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
