Void has created Flyt, a ceiling light installation.

Flyt is an 85-square-metre light installation in the reception area of Dronning Eufemias Gate 8 in the Oslo financial district.

4,700 refracting rods are lit up from within the ceiling panels while 3D sensors pick up on entrants, welcoming them with a physics-based fluid wave of light dispersing across the undulating surface.

"The design is a reference to the philosophy of the client and a signature of the building, visible from afar," said Void.

This project has been longlisted in the architectural lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
