Formed has designed the Facet bathroom basins range.

Facet is a collection of bathroom basins made using recycled materials, where the collection's concept was to reimagine how light and shadow cast onto an object can be altered to create an abstract form of light and shadow.

Light shining onto the faceted sides is uniform on each facet creating a form that has distinct lines of shading instead of the graduated shading found on smooth surfaces.

The resulting effect makes the viewer reconsider the effects of light, shadow and colour and their interaction in creating a new architectural form.

This project has been longlisted in the product design (bathroom and kitchen) category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
