Benedetti Architects has redesigned and expanded the BAFTA Headquarters in London, United Kingdom.

The comprehensive expansion and redesign of the BAFTA's Grade II listed headquarters enhances BAFTA's international identity as the centre of excellence for motion picture arts – namely film, games and television.

The 1883 Royal Institute of Painters in Water has been BAFTA's home since 1974 but its size, layout and failing services limited delivery of ever-widening charitable programmes.

The New Crown Estate lease prompted the commissioning of Benedetti as architect and interior designer.

The expansion integrates innovative state-of-the-art technology and cost-in-use efficiency while sensitively balancing members' needs with public access and revenue generation, ensuring the charity's long-term social, environmental and financial sustainability.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable renovation category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
