Designers Tania Doumbe Fines and Elodie Dérond are the founders of design studio ibiyanε.

They met in Montreal, where Fines obtained a degree in interior design from Université de Montréal and Dérond a certificate in Entrepreneurial Dynamics from Université du Québec à Montréal School of Management.

Fines and Dérond designed and crafted sculptural seats for the Black Experience Isn’t A Spectacle exhibition curated by Afi Venessa Appiah in 2020. ibiyanε has since been shown in spaces such as the Carpenters Workshop Gallery, the Design Miami fair and the Milan Design Week.
