Sibling Architecture has designed the Rushworth P-12 College, a school located in Rushworth, Australia.
The Rushworth P-12 College Technology Centre revitalises this historic school on Taungurung Country, creating a future-focused campus while honouring its heritage.
The new centre replaces ageing buildings with flexible spaces for Design Technology, Science and Food Technology, fostering interdisciplinary learning.
Specialised facilities, including a commercial kitchen and workshop, support vocational training and industry connections.
Inspired by Rushworth's red-brick heritage and gold rush history, the design integrates sustainability through passive cooling, rainwater harvesting, and recycled materials.
More than a school facility, the centre strengthens community ties, providing an adaptable, forward-thinking environment for education, skill development and local engagement.
This project has been longlisted in the education project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
