Arquimaña has transformed the interiors of The Joy of Living, a home with a seamless blend of tradition and modernity in Donostia, Spain.
The Joy of Living redefines a 92 square metre home, turning a compact space into a fluid and efficient living environment for a young family.
Through curved geometries and hybrid spaces, the design expands perception, creating a seamless flow between areas.
Natural materials, such as spruce wood and ceramic, connect the home to its 1904 origins while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic.
Strategic zoning ensures comfort, with public areas facing the lively street and private spaces opening to quieter surroundings.
As a result, this project exemplifies how creative reinterpretation can transform limitations into a dynamic and joyful living experience.
This project has been longlisted in the residential interior (small) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
