Studio 9 has designed the Multifunctional Landmark on the Riverbank project, a mixed-use building integrating retail, dining, parking and public space in Tbilisi, Georgia.

This project is a multifunctional space located on the riverbank of Tbilisi that blends retail, dining and public access areas and integrates a hypermarket on the ground floor, open parking on the upper levels and a restaurant with an open terrace at the top, creating a dynamic yet well-balanced environment.

"The main challenge was harmonising diverse functions in one structure while maintaining openness and accessibility," said Studio 9.

The hypermarket required direct, high-traffic access, the restaurant needed elevated views and parking had to optimise limited ground space.

Materials include metal, concrete, and glass, giving the building a modern industrial character, softened by terraces and greenery.

This project has been longlisted in the mixed use project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
