SoBA has designed The Orchestra Park, a community park that integrates nature, culture and recreation in Kunshan, China.

The Orchestra Park by SoBA is an 8,500-square-metre community park in Kunshan, transforming a vacant lot into a vibrant recreational space.

Inspired by Jiangnan silk and bamboo music, the design features flowing forms, interactive musical elements and a harmonious blend of nature and culture.

The park preserves existing wetlands and mature trees while integrating a skatepark, fitness areas, an outdoor theatre and winding pathways.

A central jogging track connects residential communities, dividing the park into a tranquil riverside greenbelt and an active recreational zone.

As a result, this project creates a dynamic urban retreat that fosters social interaction and cultural engagement.

This project has been longlisted in the landscape and urban design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
