Office for Roundtable and JXY Studio have designed 'Your Greenhouse Is Your Kitchen', an installation that amalgamates the roles of a greenhouse, a kitchen and a living space.

Your Greenhouse Is Your Kitchen is a temporary installation sited amidst an urban garden in Guangzhou, China.

Characterised by an assembly of modular, flexible elements, the project operates as an environmental device that blends the roles of a greenhouse, an outdoor kitchen and a living room.

Serving as the social catalyst for the neighbourhood, it fosters the interplay between farming and preparing food, between delivering and consuming food and between caring and sharing food.

It positions food as a transformative medium that facilitates agricultural practices and social engagement, reexamining the intricate relationship between the body, land and city.

This project has been longlisted in the installation design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
