Out of the Valley has designed Aquila Sauna, a mobile, off-grid sauna designed to bring wellness experiences to diverse landscapes made from natural materials.

Aquila is a fully mobile sauna designed for transport and easy setup in diverse locations across the UK; its corten steel folding roof collapses for travel and lifts to form deep eaves when stationary.

A thermo ash rear deck and fold-down steps complete the exterior, while the interior is clad in thermo alder for a warm, natural finish.

Solar panels power the lighting and a Narvi wood-burning heater provides heat, while an integrated cold shower is mounted on the rear wall.

By bringing sauna culture to remote landscapes, Aquila offers accessible, restorative wellness experiences on the move.

This project has been longlisted in the product design (health, wellbeing and wearables) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
