Paul Crofts Studio has designed Knit One for Isomi, a 3D knitted modular seating system made from recycled post-consumer waste.

Knit One is a groundbreaking modular seating system that redefines upholstery from the inside out. Foam is replaced by air while traditional upholstery methods give way to 3D-knit textiles, radically reducing material waste.

Made using recycled post-consumer waste, the Knit One system showcases a continuous, visually solid volume that mimics the softness and fullness of upholstered furniture while being made almost entirely of air and knit.

Built on a lightweight metal frame designed for flat-pack shipping and easy local assembly, Knit One expands Isomi's portfolio of circular, environmentally responsible products, setting a new standard in material-driven innovation.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
