Nicola Stäubli and Daniel Freitag have designed Monopole No O1, a sleek, agile toolbike that adapts seamlessly to urban life.
Monopole No O1 is a modular urban Toolbike designed for circularity and built to last. Made in Europe from aerospace-grade steel, its unified frame supports both electric and non-electric configurations – allowing riders to adapt as needs evolve.
By integrating long-life components and enabling second-life use beyond electronics, Monopole challenges short-lived e-bike norms.
Rooted in purpose through Steward Ownership, the No O1 sets a new standard in sustainable, future-proof urban mobility.
Monopole No O1 was developed in response to a simple but ambitious brief: build a highly functional urban bicycle that doesn't compromise on longevity, aesthetics, or adaptability.
By focusing on timeless aesthetics, premium materials and a modular platform, Monopole No O1 challenges the fast-consumption logic of the bike industry and offers a product built to last – for riders and streets alike.
This project has been longlisted in the product design (consumer design) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
