We+ has designed Unseen Objects, a collectible series that transforms overlooked casting remnants into poetic design objects.
Unseen Objects is a collection of vases that reframe burrs, moulds and casting cores – elements typically discarded as waste—as sculptural artefacts that celebrate material memory and the beauty of process.
This series reinterprets the tools, fixtures, textures and incidental forms that emerge during the casting process with components often overlooked or forgotten.
By elevating these byproducts through refined design, the collection not only reveals the intrinsic beauty of casting culture but also redefines the value of craftsmanship itself, offering a renewed perspective on this time-honoured tradition.
This project has been longlisted in the collectible design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
