Studio Rens has designed Digital Weaves for Byborre, a range of vibrant textiles.

As a digital-first textile innovation company, Byborre challenges the conventional norms of the industry by exploring new textile creation processes that are less wasteful, harmful and inflexible – and instead more collaborative, open and inspiring.

"We were invited by Byborre to work with their digital online tool for textile design, drawing from our own expertise and research-driven approach," said Studio Rens.

"[Digital Weaves] is an extended exploration that resulted in a series of textiles that reflect our fascination with design techniques."

While the colours of the yarns and overall patterns remain consistent, variations in micro-patterns allow certain yarns to stand out, creating depth and interest.

By delving into these extremes, each piece achieves a distinct appearance and subtle colour nuance, making them ideal for versatile fabric applications.

This project has been longlisted in the textile design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
