Yarn Collective has designed Tesserae, an upholstery fabric featuring an irregular geometric design in multi-tonal yarns.

Tesserae is a richly textured upholstery fabric from London-based British textile studio, Yarn Collective, marking the studio's first move into patterned woven textiles.

Defined by an irregular geometric motif, the design is inspired by mosaic tiling and brought to life through a blend of multi-tonal yarns, including bouclé, to create depth and movement.

Available in two refined colourways, Tesserae offers a rich but understated visual texture. As a linen blend, it balances softness with durability.

Suitable for light domestic upholstery, Tesserae reflects Yarn Collective's quiet, confident evolution in fabric design – where tactile richness meets considered, contemporary expression.

This project has been longlisted in the textile design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
