Layer, in collaboration with MDF Italia and Kvadrat, has designed Collect, a modular rainwater harvesting system.
Collect is a modular rainwater harvesting system that offers an elegant and sustainable response to water scarcity.
Featuring a wide textile canopy crafted from Kvadrat Atrium fabric that gathers droplets, the system filters rainwater through layers of natural ceramic and carbon.
A flexible bladder stores clean water, expanding as it fills. Lightweight and modular, the system can be easily disassembled and relocated.
Collect reflects a nomadic, self-sufficient lifestyle and invites a rethinking of our relationship with water, positioning design as a practical and poetic response to climate challenges.
This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
