Formafatal has renovated the interiors, including the kitchen, of an apartment in a historic building at Arbes Square in Prague, Czech Republic.
Designed within a repurposed attic loft in central Prague, this project merges robust structural roof heritage with refined material detailing.
"The client approached us with a request to design the interior and potentially adjust the layout," said Formafatal.
While designing the project, one of the main challenges was implementing solutions for minimal layout caused by technical constraints and limited space, mainly in the kitchen and bathrooms.
The result is the assertion of a kitchen "not as a room, but as a living, breathing central architectural area, embedded in history, yet open to contemporary narratives."
This project has been longlisted in the kitchen interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
