Spacegram Studio has designed the interiors of Scusa, a singular, unique and unexpected reinterpretation of an Italian restaurant in Lisbon, Portugal.

For this project, the challenge was clear: reimagine an Italian restaurant without clichés or falling into the 'fusion' trap.

"Our approach embraced the full spectrum of Italian flair, from Alpine lakes to Puglia's olive groves, while keeping food as the main character," said Spacegram Studio.

As a result, Scusa evokes warmth and comfort, wrapped in sunny tones of orange and yellow, "like a sunlit terrace turned inside out."

"As a studio rooted in understanding space, we translated the client's vision into a sensorial experience – one you can see, touch, and feel. Architecture becomes perception, made strikingly real," added Spacegram Studio.

This project has been shortlisted in the restaurant interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
