Foolscap Studio has designed the interiors of Forum Workspace, a premium co-work offering inspired by Roman forums in Melbourne, Australia.
Briefed with little more than a name, Foolscap Studio have realised Forum Workspace – a new premium cowork offering spanning two floors and 2,730 square metres.
In contrast to typically dark, masculine high-end coworking spaces, Forum introduces a lighter, softer, hospitality-led design.
Instead, Forum fosters an atmosphere closer to a boutique hotel than an office, where Foolscap were entrusted to conceptualise and deliver the interior strategy and design targeting the area's design-conscious clientele.
Inspired by Roman forums as ancient epicentres of social exchange, Foolscap created a modern incarnation by reinterpreting these civic stages through contemporary materiality and spatial planning.
This project has been shortlisted in the workplace interior (large) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
