Neri&Hu has designed the interiors for the Ms MIN retail space, a clothing boutique in Shanghai, China.

For this project, Neri&Hu harkens back to the notion of a traditional fabric atelier, showcasing craftsmanship, rich materiality and a domestic sensibility.

Natural daylight and the chaos of the shopping mall are filtered out by the sheer fabric screens, giving the space an overall sense of calmness.

Between the house and the wooden cloth racks lies an internal courtyard paved through traditional techniques, using inlaid, curved roof tiles arranged in a stacked bond pattern.

A series of panels is arranged in the courtyard, forming interconnected yet distinct exhibition spaces which can be rearranged to suit various motifs.

This project has been shortlisted in the retail interior (small) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
