Christian + Jade has designed the interiors of The Age of Wood, an exhibition designed and curated for Karimoku Furniture's new centre, Karimoku Research, in Tokyo, Japan.

The Age of Wood observes the age-old philosophical and personal relationship between human beings and the forest.

Tracing what it means to age alongside wood, in the human-made interior and nature alike, the design recognises that this ancient kinship continues to grow and evolve in meaningful ways to this day.

"The fate of the forest is intrinsically connected to ours," said Christian + Jade.

This project has been shortlisted in the exhibition design (interior) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
