Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2025 emerging architect of the year, Earthscape Studio was founded by architect Petchimuthu Kennedy in 2022.

The Coimbatore-based studio practices "earthen architecture" and aims to foster a connection between people and the natural world.

The practice designs nature-friendly spaces informed by experimental techniques and natural materials.

Recent projects include a vaulted residence in Kerala, India, constructed with locally-produced bricks and recycled materials, and a farmhouse in Tamil Nadu, India, which features a sculptural shell coated in mud plaster.

The practice has won numerous international awards, including the Architecture Hunter Awards and Archello Awards.
