Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2025 emerging designer of the year, Niceworkshop is a Seoul-based industrial design studio founded by Hyunseong Oh in 2021.

The studio transforms industrial byproducts and construction materials into experimental furniture, objects and spatial designs, with a particular focus on metals.

Its work explores the physical properties of materials, recontextualising elements such as scaffolding, formwork and temporary structures.

Recent projects by the studio featured on Dezeen include a cafe interior finished with an artificial wood grain texture and furniture made from old skyscraper formwork.

Niceworkshop has been shortlisted in the emerging designer of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
