Margent Farm has designed the 'Grow Your Own Home: Margent Farm's Hemp-Based Corrugated Panels', a natural alternative to other corrugated materials used in construction.
Margent Farm's 53 acres in Cambridgeshire are dedicated to growing organic hemp.
"Our corrugated hemp panels offer a premium, natural alternative to conventional corrugated materials used in construction," said Margent Farm.
Designed for both functionality and aesthetics, they can be applied externally as rain-screen cladding or internally for stunning acoustic and decorative treatments.
"Through advanced thermal compression, our hemp non-woven fibre sheets are bonded using a bio-resin derived from agricultural waste – including corn cobs, oat hulls and bagasse – delivering a sustainable, high-performance solution for modern building applications," added Margent Farm.
As a result, Margent Farm's corrugated panels are crafted from 100 per cent UK-grown and processed hemp and the entire supply chain and manufacturing process is UK-based, ensuring a minimal carbon footprint.
This project has been shortlisted in the material innovation category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
