United Units Architects has designed the Qianzishan Waste-to-Energy Power Plant in Wuhan, China.

In a former quarry in Wuhan, the Qianzishan Waste-to-Energy Power Plant redefines industrial architecture through machine aesthetics.

"Its design transforms functional machinery into refined artworks by capturing an art unveiling moment – a soft, curtain-like glass facade rises to reveal machines as exhibits," said United Units Architects.

As a result, the pale green, scale-like glass creates shifting reflections and psychedelic light.

By infusing architectural values into an industrial facility, this project transcends mere function to demonstrate regenerative impacts on nature and community.
