Kosloff Architecture has designed the 24/7 Latelab at Swinburne University in Melbourne, Australia.

The 24/7 Latelab at Swinburne University has transformed an underused Student Union building into a vibrant, student-focused learning and social hub.

Located within a fragmented inner-urban campus, this project prioritises adaptive reuse, retaining over 85 per cent of the existing structure to reduce embodied carbon significantly.

Extensive co-design with students informed a flexible, welcoming environment supporting diverse study and social needs around the clock.

New landscaped terraces, outdoor study areas and a central skylit void introduce light, greenery and spatial clarity.

Now the most-used building on campus, Latelab serves as a dynamic centre for student life and a model for sustainable campus renewal.
