Tuckey Design Studio has designed the Rammed Earth House in Wiltshire, United Kingdom.

On the site of a former brickworks in rural Wiltshire, Tuckey Design Studio
have completed the construction of a bold and boundary-pushing new residential
project, crafted from one of the oldest and most sustainable building materials: rammed earth.

The rammed earth composition is formed from clay excavated from the site, demolition aggregate from unremarkable out-buildings and locally quarried limestone gravel, meaning this project is highly localised.

The house itself performs as a walled garden, with east and west facing courtyards protected from the elements by the building's presence.

Rammed Earth House is one of only a few in the UK to use unstabilised rammed earth; a circular construction method that contains no cement.
