Note Architects has renovated the kitchen interiors of the Fukagawa Residence in Tokyo, Japan.

This project is a kitchen renovation at a residential home in East Tokyo.

"The client wished for an open lifestyle where they could feel the presence of a family in a compact living environment where they could get in touch with nature, such as wind and sunlight," said Note Architects.

"We created an open and comfortable space by dividing the area."

The materials that have slight unevenness, the Japanese paper wall, tile in the kitchen and lauan plywood transmit the texture of light.

The kitchen captures the abstract nature of the central city with certainty and rebuilds a new relationship with humans.

This result is a small house where life unfolds in harmony with the changing seasons.
