Alexander & Co has designed the bathroom interiors of Emerald House in Sydney, Australia.

The Emerald House bathroom connects to the master suite within a heritage-listed 1890s Victorian residence in Sydney.

The home is conceived as a sanctuary for the practicalities of family life, with interiors informed by the client's passion for art and desire to honour its historic character.

As part of the parents retreat, the bathroom was replanned to improve visual connection to the adjoining walk-in wardrobe – while prioritising light and functionality.

Preferencing dark, richly toned materiality, the palette is expressed in contrasting cream and brown stone, aged brass and Murano lighting that sit in concert with Victorian-era features.
