Pretty Plastic has designed the Basic Third facade.

Basic Third is a demountable facade tile made from 100 per cent recycled rigid PVC sourced from construction waste.

Designed for disassembly and mechanical recycling, Basic Third keeps plastic in continuous use, rather than sending it to landfill or incineration.

The 30cm width aligns with standard building grids, reducing cutting waste, where architects can create varied patterns by aligning or offsetting rows, with options for custom reliefs in larger projects.

Available in 12 colours, the system balances circularity with aesthetic choice. Basic Third debuted on Plus Ultra III at Wageningen University, wrapping the Netherlands' first timber laboratory building in 30,987kg of upcycled plastic.
