Pretty Plastic has designed the Basic Third facade.

Basic Third is a demountable facade system that transforms post-consumer PVC waste into a versatile architectural surface.

Developed as Pretty Plastic's third tile design, it balances simplicity with architectural flexibility, where three vertical bands create subtle relief. The overlap system allows architects to generate rhythmic patterns by aligning or offsetting rows.

Available in 12 colours and adaptable to custom reliefs for larger projects, Basic Third makes circular construction both visible and viable.

The system debuted on Plus Ultra III at Wageningen University, wrapping the Netherlands' first timber laboratory building in 30,987kg of upcycled plastic.
